Owl Animatic

The Clan of the Owl. Subsisting through the ages, the secretive norns of Vördr keep watch over all realms in Northgard and beyond. Protectors of Yggdrasil, the sisters Skuld, Verdandi, and Urdr, use the power of this sacred tree to spread their knowledge inexorably across the land.

Starting Bonuses[ | ]

  • Forests and other sources of Wood Wood provide Lore Lore instead. It is used to build and upgrade buildings.
  • Your main zone starts with the Seed of Yggdrasil, which can train up to 3 Norn Norns to explore, build relationships, and produce Lore on neutral mystic buildings.
  • Knowledges are unlocked through a unique tree and built as Branches of Yggdrasil which you can place in any ally or even neutral territory.
  • Knowledges in their territory benefit the clans you have favorable relationships with.
  • You can choose Skuld Skuld, Verdandi Verdandi, or Urdr Urdr as warchief.
  • The clan can achieve the unique Realms Unleashed victory instead of a wisdom victory.
  • Deer Deer and Fish Fish do not provide food, but Happiness Happiness.

You can explore and place Branches of Yggdrasil in enemy territory.
  • Fame 500 Fame : Pillars of Wisdom
Zones can contain an additional Branch of Yggdrasil. Owl knowledges can be placed twice. Better relations with clan make Owl knowledges in your territory stronger.

Sharp Axes

Your Woodcutter Woodcutters will produce 20% more Wood Wood.


Reduces the amount of Food Food necessary to colonize one zone by 30%.


Food Silo Food Silos gain a 10% Food Food production bonus. Also reduces Food Silo Food Silo upgrade cost by 50%.


Permanently increases population growth speed by 25%. You gain an additional 5% during 4 months for each unit from your clan killed by an enemy clan or sacrificed (max +75%).


Increases your Healer Healer's healing speed by 50%.


Reduces extra Wood Firewood consumption during winter by 50% and reduce winter Food Food penalty by 20%.

Your Merchant Merchants will produce 20% more Kröwns Kröwns.


Increases Loremaster Loremaster production by 40%. Your next Carved Stone Carved Stone is free.

Carpentry Mastery

Reduces your buildings' upgrade costs by 20%.
Reduces upkeep from upgraded buildings by 20%.


Reduces prices on the Marketplace Marketplace by 50% and stock replenishment is 20% faster.

Veiled Threats

Improves your TradingRoutesTrade Route' Kröwns Kröwns income by 75% if you have a Berserker Berserker. After Berserker Berserker died at least once, -50% Kröwns Kröwns costs and no Iron Iron to recruit him again.

Upgraded zones grow a Forest and attract Deer Deer and Fish Fish, they provide Happiness Happiness. Upgrading a zone now costs 50 Lore Lore

Conquest[ | ]

In "conquest" mode, all clans play a series of 11 maps. The first, middle, and last maps in the sequence give hard-coded, clan-specific bonuses; the other maps randomly generate generic bonuses (which may or may not affect clan-specific units/buildings). The special bonuses for this individual clan are as follows:

  • Branches of Yggdrasil with clan-unique knowledges become "Nomad Branches", and can move. (Nomad branches are non-attackable units, like Scouts, and affect whatever zone they're currently standing in.)
  • You can assign more Norns, and they do not count in your population. (This applies not just to pop space, but also consumption. The limit on how many you can assign seems to be completely eliminated.)
  • You can recruit each warchief separately.
